Providing citizen workers by creating a pleasant, safe, and communicative street in an industrial complex
(전국= KTN) 김도형 기자= 구미시(시장 장세용)는 8. 26(수) 한국산업단지공단에서 2020년도 활력있고 아름다운거리 조성사업 2차공모에 최종 선정됐다.
(National = KTN) Reporter Kim Do-hyung: Gumi City (mayor Jang Se-yong) was selected as the second contest for the project to create a vibrant and beautiful street in 2020 by the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation on August 26.
활력있고 아름다운거리 조성사업은 산단대개조 35개 사업중의 하나로 산업단지의 근로자가 소통 할 수 있는 공간 및 특색을 살린 스토리 발굴, 디자인 구성으로 아름다운 거리를 조성하는 사업으로 총사업비 20억원이 투자될 예정이다.
The vital and beautiful street development project is one of the 35 projects of industrial complex renovation, which will invest 2 billion won in total project cost to create a beautiful street through story discovery and design composition that makes use of space and characteristics for workers in industrial complexes to communicate with each other.
이번 공모에는 경북(구미), 광주(광주첨단), 대구(성서), 인천(남동), 전남(여수) 등 5개 지역이 최종 선정됐다.
Five regions were selected for the contest: Gyeongbuk (Gumi), Gwangju (Gwangju Advanced), Daegu (Seongseo), Incheon (Namdong), and Jeonnam (Yeosu).
구미시에서는 앞으로 기본 및 실시설계용역을 발주하여 주민공청회 실시 및 주민협의체 구성하여 아름답고 특색있는 거리 조성에 만전을 기할 예정이다.
Gumi City plans to order basic and practical design services to conduct public hearings and form a consultative body to create beautiful and distinctive streets.
장세용 구미시장은 “코로나 19로 인한 경제위축, 저성장 등 어려운 상황속에서 힘들어하는 지역 산업단지 근로자 및 주민들에게 정주여건을 개선하고자 추진하는 사업으로 공개공지 활용 및 기존 도로 다이어트 등으로 여가 쉼터 공간으로 재창출하여 시민과 근로자가 함께 쉴 수 있고 지역의 랜드마크가 될 수 있는 활력있고 아름다운거리를 조성하여 제공할 예정이며, 앞으로도 산업단지 경쟁력 강화와 정주인프라 개선을 위한 지역 핵심사업인 산단 대개조 뿐만아니라 스마트산단 사업, 노후산단 재생사업을 통해 기업유치, 근로환경 개선, 양질의 일자리 창출로 구미국가산단의 부흥을 이끌 것을 약속했다.
Gumi Mayor Jang Se-yong said, "The project is being pushed to improve settlement conditions for workers and residents of local industrial complexes who are struggling under difficult circumstances such as economic contraction caused by Korona 19 and low growth. We will create a leisure shelter space through the use of public spaces and existing road diets to create a vibrant and beautiful street where citizens and workers can rest together and become a landmark in the region. In addition, smart industrial complexes, which are usually a key project to strengthen competitiveness and improve Jeongjujupra."
한편, 구미국가산업단지는 대구경북 통합신공항은 연계하여 공항연결교통망 구축(철도 및 고속도로 연결등)하고 대구권광역철도 또한 차질없이 진행하여 포스트 코로나19 시대 경제 활성화를 이끌 지역경제 재도약의 기틀을 마련했다.
Meanwhile, the Gumi National Industrial Complex has established an airport-connected transportation network (railway and highway connection) for Daegu-Gyeongbuk Integrated New Airport, and Daegu Metropolitan Railway has also been carried out without a hitch, paving the way for a re-take of the local economy that will lead to economic revitalization in the post-Corna 19 era.
