Andong Girls' High School Tennis Team! Fly up again!

 (전국= KTN) 김도형 기자= 제48회 소강배 전국남여중고등학교대항테니스대회가 8월 23일부터  31일까지 양구테니스파크 테니스코트에서 열렸다. 안동여자고등학교(교장 임동환)의 정보영은 30일 결승전에서 천안방통고 신주애를 8-4로 꺾고 여자부 단식 최강의 자리에 올랐다. 정보영은 올해 6월에 전국종별테니스대회에서 단식 우승에 이어 또 다시 전국대회규모에서 우승을 차지하며 안동여고의 위상을 널리 알렸다. 뿐만 아니라 복식에서는 김희경/김서영 조가 3위, 단체전에서는 정보영, 김희경, 김서영, 심미성이 한 팀을 이뤄 3위를 차지했다.

(National = KTN) Reporter Kim Do-hyung: The 48th So Gang-bae National Nam Girls' Middle and High School Grand Tennis Tournament was held at Yanggu Tennis Park Tennis Court from August 23 to 31. Jeong Bo-young of Andong Girls' High School (Principal Lim Dong-hwan) defeated Shin Joo-ae of Cheonan Bangtong High School by 8-4 in the final match on Thursday, becoming the strongest single player in the women's singles. In June this year, Jeong Bo-young won the national tennis championship, and again won the national championship in June, she promoted Andong Girls' High School's status. In addition, Kim Hee-kyung/Kim Seo-young's group ranked third in the doubles, while in the team event, Jeong Bo-young, Kim Hee-kyung, Kim Seo-young and Shim Mi-sung teamed up to take third place.

 정보영은 지난 전국학생테니스선수권대회에서 단식 준우승을 하였지만 이번 대회에서 정상에 오르며 안동여고 테니스부의 힘찬 비상을 다시 보여주었다.

Although she finished runner-up in singles at the last National Student Tennis Championships, she re-examined the powerful status of the tennis team at Andong Girls' High School by reaching the top of the competition.
 
 정보영은 “자신을 도와주시는 많은 분들에게 우승으로 보답을 드릴 수 있어서 감사하다. 이번 우승으로 학교를 빛낼 수 있어서 기쁘다. 교장 선생님을 비롯해 감독, 코치 선생님께도 감사의 마음을 전하고 싶다.”고 말했다.

"I'm grateful to many of you for helping me with the win," said Jeong Bo Mi-young said. I'm glad that I can make the school shine with this win. I want to thank the principal as well as the director and coach."

 김일해 코치선생님은 “보영이는 올해 코로나 19로 인해 국제 대회들이 취소되면서 국내 대회를 많이 뛰게 되었다. 부담감이 많았을 텐데 매 경기마다 최선을 다하는 모습이 보기 좋았고 앞으로도 많은 성장이 기대되는 선수다.”고 말했다.

Coach Kim Il-hae said, "Boyoung has been playing a lot of domestic competitions since international competitions were canceled due to the Corona 19 this year. He must have felt a lot of pressure, but it was good to see him do his best in every game and he is expected to grow a lot in the future."

 이에 임동환 교장선생님은 “보영이가 또 다시 우승해 대견스럽다.”며 “더운 날씨에도 열심히 경기해준 테니스부원들이 고맙고 자랑스럽다.”고 격려했다.

In response, principal Lim Dong-hwan said, "I'm proud that Boyoung won again," and added, "I'm grateful and proud of the tennis team members for playing hard despite the hot weather."
