[한국유통신문= 김도형 기자] 한국바이오협회가 주관하는 ‘Global Expedition to Germany’ 프로그램이 3월 12일부터 14일까지 독일에서 성공적으로 개최됐다. 이 탐방 프로그램은 BIO Europe 2025 Spring과 연계하여 진행된 것으로, 한국 바이오 기업들이 유럽 시장 진출을 위한 중요한 기회를 마련하는 데 초점을 맞췄다.

이번 탐방에서는 독일의 대표적인 바이오 기업과 바이오 클러스터를 방문하며, 국내 기업들이 글로벌 시장에서의 입지를 확대할 수 있는 네트워킹 기회를 가졌다. 참가 기업들은 베링거잉겔하임, 바이오 마인츠 바이오테크 허브, 에보닉, 미다스 파마 등 독일의 주요 바이오 기업들과 협력 가능성을 논의했다.

한국바이오협회의 이번 프로그램은 ‘글로벌 밍글(Global Mingle)’ 프로그램의 일환으로, 기술개발, 투자유치, 해외 진출을 목표로 하는 기업들에게 큰 도움이 되었다. 탐방에 참여한 기업들은 비임상시험 CRO 프리클리나, 바이오용 필터 및 멤브레인 소재 전문기업 움틀, 희귀난치성 질환 치료제 개발기업 큐롬바이오사이언스 등 다양한 분야의 혁신적인 바이오 기업들이다.

한국바이오협회 황주리 교류협력본부장은 “유럽 시장은 인구 4억 5천만 명의 거대 시장으로 다양한 진출 전략을 구상할 수 있는 매우 매력적인 시장”이라며, “앞으로도 기업들의 글로벌 진출을 돕기 위한 다양한 프로그램을 지속적으로 추진할 것”이라고 말했다.

The Global Expedition to Germany program, organized by the Korea Bio Association, was successfully held in Germany from Mar. 12-14. This tour program, in conjunction with the BIO Europe 2025 Spring, focused on providing important opportunities for Korean bio companies to enter the European market.

During this visit, we visited Germany's leading bio companies and bio clusters and had networking opportunities for domestic companies to expand their presence in the global market. The participating companies discussed the possibility of collaborating with major German bio companies such as Boehringer Ingelheim, BioMines Biotech Hub, Evonic, and Midas Pharma.

As part of the "Global Single" program, this program by the Korea Bio Association has been of great help to companies aiming to develop technology, attract investment, and expand overseas. The companies that participated in the tour are innovative bio companies in various fields, including non-clinical trial CRO Preclina, filter and membrane materials company Umtle, and Qrom Bioscience, a company that develops treatments for rare and intractable diseases.

The European market is a huge market with a population of 450 million, and it is a very attractive market that can conceive various entry strategies, said Hwang Joo-ri, head of the Korea Bio Association's Exchange and Cooperation Division.

The BIO Europe 2025 Spring is the most important bio-partnering event in Europe, offering bio-professionals the opportunity to gather to share the latest research trends and introduce innovative technologies. The event will be held in Milan, Italy, for three days from March 17, where participating companies can hold 1:1 meetings and find new partners through a pre-matching system.
