“CA기술은 한국 농산물이 선진국 농산물과 어깨를 나란히 하게 만드는 기술입니다. 우리는 지난 5년간 끊임없는 연구와 현장 실험을 통해 그 가능성을 증명했습니다. 이제는 세계 무대에서 ‘한국형 신선물류’가 자리 잡을 때입니다.”

26일 청주시 오송생명과학단지에 위치한 세중그룹 CXL바이오센터에서 열린 *‘CA기술 활용 신선농산물 수출 확대 워크숍’*에서 한명수 세중그룹 대표는 환영사를 통해 이같이 밝히며, 한국 농산물의 세계화에 대한 강한 의지를 드러냈다.

 

 

 

 

“CA기술, 한국 농산물의 새로운 경쟁력으로 자리 잡다”

한명수 대표는 “2020년 국립원예특작과학원과 손잡고 CA(Controlled Atmosphere, 저온가스처리) 컨테이너 연구를 시작한 이후, 한국 농산물이 일본 등 선진국 시장과 경쟁할 수 있도록 다양한 실증을 진행해왔다”고 말했다.

그는 이어 “국외에서는 보통 단일 품목을 대상으로 수출하지만, 한국의 농산물은 생산 특성상 다품목 혼합 적재 방식이 필수였다”며 “세중그룹은 수많은 실험 끝에 혼합 적재 연구에 성공하며 국내 CA기술의 실용화를 이뤄냈다”고 강조했다.

“세계 최고 수준의 기술력 확보…속도와 품질 모두 잡았다”

한 대표는 특히 세중그룹이 확보한 기술 경쟁력에 자부심을 드러냈다.

“CA기술의 핵심은 플러싱(Flushing) 기술입니다. 과거에는 12시간이 걸렸던 작업을, 세중그룹은 기술 고도화를 통해 3시간 내 완성할 수 있게 됐습니다. 세계 평균이 5~6시간임을 감안하면, 한국이 이제 글로벌 표준을 선도하고 있는 셈입니다.”

 

그는 이어 “여기서 멈추지 않고, 앞으로는 기술력의 격차를 더욱 벌려 세계 최고 수준의 농산물 물류 시스템을 구축하겠다”며 “이를 통해 한국산 신선농산물이 전 세계 시장에서 안정적으로 유통될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 덧붙였다.

“CA포럼 창설해 산업·학계·정부 협력 강화하겠다”

한명수 대표는 또한 “그동안 농산물 수출은 단순 유통의 영역에 머물렀지만, 이제는 기술 기반 수출로 전환해야 할 시점”이라며 “세중그룹은 국립원예특작과학원과 함께 **CA기술 관련 포럼을 구성해 산·학·관 협력 체계를 강화하고, 공동 연구와 실행 중심의 모델을 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.

그는 마지막으로 “우리의 목표는 단순히 농산물을 수출하는 것이 아니라, 한국형 CA기술을 플랜트 형태로 수출해 세계 시장에 확산시키는 것”이라며 “한국 농산물이 세계 각지에서 ‘신선함과 품질’로 인정받을 수 있도록 끝까지 연구하고 도전하겠다”고 강조했다.

한명수 대표의 발언은 이번 워크숍의 핵심 메시지인 “CA기술을 통한 농산물 수출 혁신”의 비전을 함축하고 있다.

"CA technology is a technology that makes Korean agricultural products shoulder-to-shoulder with those of advanced countries. We have proven the possibility through continuous research and field experiments for the past five years. It is time for 'Korean-style fresh logistics' to take place on the global stage."

At the *"Expansion Workshop for Exporting Fresh Agricultural Products Using CA Technology" held at Sejung Group CXL Bio Center in Osong Life Science Complex, Cheongju on the 26th, Han Myung-soo, CEO of Sejung Group, expressed his strong will to globalize Korean agricultural products in a welcoming speech.

"CA Technology Becomes New Competitive in Korean Agricultural Products"

CEO Han Myung-soo said, "Since we started researching CA (Controlled Atmosphere) containers in 2020 in partnership with the National Institute of Horticultural Science, we have conducted various demonstrations so that Korean agricultural products can compete with advanced markets such as Japan."

"We usually export to a single item abroad, but Korea's agricultural products were required to have a multi-item mixed loading method due to the nature of production," he said. "The Sejung Group succeeded in researching mixed loading after numerous experiments and achieved the practical use of domestic CA technology."

"Securing the world's best technology...We've got both speed and quality."

Han expressed particular pride in the technological competitiveness secured by Sejung Group.

"The core of CA technology is flushing technology. The task that used to take 12 hours can now be completed within three hours by upgrading the technology. Given that the global average is five to six hours, Korea is now leading the global standard."

He continued, "We will not stop here, and in the future, we will build a world-class agricultural logistics system by widening the gap in technology," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that Korean fresh agricultural products are distributed stably in the global market."

"The CA Forum will be established to strengthen cooperation in industry, academia, and government."

CEO Han Myung-soo also said, "In the meantime, agricultural exports have remained in the realm of simple distribution, but now it is time to switch to technology-based exports. Sejung Group will form a forum on **CA technology with the National Institute of Horticultural Science to strengthen the industry, academia, and government cooperation system, and promote a model centered on joint research and implementation."

Finally, he stressed, "Our goal is not just to export agricultural products, but to export Korean CA technology in the form of plants and spread them to the global market. We will study and challenge Korean agricultural products until the end so that they can be recognized as 'fresh and quality' around the world."

CEO Han Myung-soo's remarks imply the vision of "innovating agricultural exports through CA technology," a key message of the workshop.

Sejung Group's CXL Bio Center is upgrading fresh logistics technology centering on the smart cold chain Valition Center and building a comprehensive solution that combines storage, transportation, and temperature control technology for agricultural products to solidify the foundation for Korean agricultural products to enter the global market.
