(전국= KTN) 김도형 기자= 구미시(시장 장세용)는 제8호 태풍 ‘바비’의 선제적 대응을 위해 26일 긴급 점검회의를 개최했다.

태풍 ‘바비’는 2012년 태풍 ‘볼라벤’과 유사한 경로로 접근하고 있다. 특히, 최대 풍속이 45m/s에 이르는 강풍이 예상됨에 따라 시민들의 강풍 피해에 대한 각별한 주의가 요구되고 있다.

구미시는 우선 강풍에 취약한 가로수, 현수막, 간판 등 시설물을 사전점검하여 취약 요인을 제거했으며, 신종코로나바이러스감염증(코로나-19)으로 설치된 선별진료소에 대해서도 확인하여 검사에 차질이 없도록 조치했다.

또한 지난 집중호우로 인해 지반이 약화되어 추가붕괴가 우려되는 산, 급경사지, 옹벽, 태양광발전시설 등에 대한 예찰활동을 강화하는 한편 각종 방재시설의 가동상태를 재확인하였고, 농경지와 저지대 침수피해시 긴급 동원할 수 있는 수방자재 및 응급복구장비 등 재난관리자원 관리에도 힘썼다.

구미시는 태풍의 영향권으로 들어갈 것으로 예상되는 26일부터는 재난안전대책본부의 비상근무태세를 유지하고, 전 행정력을 최대한 동원해 태풍 대비에 만전을 기할 계획이다.

장세용 구미시장은 최근 사회적 거리두기 2단계 격상으로 시민들의 일상생활이 위축된 상황에서 태풍 피해까지 발생할 경우 민생안전에 심각한 타격이 우려된다며, 시민의 생명을 지키고 재산피해가 최소화될 수 있도록 시설물 점검 및 비상근무태세 유지에 철저를 기하도록 거듭 강조했다.

In addition, the government strengthened its forecasting activities for mountains, steep slopes, retaining walls, and solar power facilities that are feared to collapse further due to torrential rains, while reaffirming the operation status of various disaster prevention facilities, and also made efforts to manage disaster management resources such as water defense materials and emergency recovery equipment that can be urgently mobilized in the event of flooding in farmland and low-lying areas.

Gumi City plans to maintain the emergency work status of the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters from the 26th, when it is expected to enter the sphere of influence of the typhoon, and to fully prepare for the typhoon by mobilizing its full administrative power.
