최윤선 작가, 'ART SHOPPING PARIS 2025'를 통해 프랑스 루브르에 서다
콜라주 기법으로 상상의 세계를 구현하는 작가, 최윤선
[한국유통신문= 김도형 기자]오는 4월 4일부터 6일까지 프랑스 파리 루브르 박물관 카루젤에서 열리는 국제 미술 전시회 ‘ART SHOPPING PARIS 2025’에 참가하는 최윤선 작가가 전시를 앞두고 소감을 전했다.
“포기할 수 없던 꿈, 미술이 인생의 중심축이 되다”
최윤선 작가는 20년간 작품 활동을 이어온 미술가다. 어린 시절부터 화가의 꿈을 품어왔던 그녀는 둘째 아이가 유치원에 입학하면서 본격적인 배움을 시작했다. 취미로 시작한 미술은 어느새 그의 삶의 중심이 되었고, 보고 듣고 느낀 모든 경험이 예술적 표현의 원천이 되었다.
그녀의 작품은 ‘본질적 단순함을 통한 상상의 구현’을 핵심으로 한다. 복잡한 서사를 나열하기보다 하나의 주제에 집중하고, 다양한 재료를 활용해 직관적으로 표현한다. 이를 통해 관객들에게 상상의 자유를 선사하며, 단순한 형태 속에서도 깊이 있는 메시지를 전달한다.
“일상 속에서 영감을 찾다”
최 작가의 창작 과정은 일상에서 비롯된다. 가장 평범한 순간이 가장 특별한 영감으로 다가오고, 한 작품을 만드는 과정에서 다음 작품의 아이디어가 자연스럽게 형성된다. 이러한 순환적 창작 과정은 그의 작품 세계를 끊임없이 진화하게 만드는 원동력이 된다.
그녀는 주로 콜라주 기법을 사용한다. 직접 그리는 것보다 서로 다른 재료의 질감과 색상을 조합하여 입체적이고 생동감 넘치는 표현이 가능하기 때문이다. 또한, 다양한 색상을 무분별하게 사용하기보다 최소한의 색상만을 신중하게 선택하여 작품의 순수함과 정갈함을 유지하고 있다.
“독창적인 시선으로 재해석한 대표 작품 10선”
최윤선 작가는 이번 전시에서 대표작 10점을 선보인다. 그의 작품은 친숙한 오브제를 독창적인 시선으로 재해석한 것이 특징이다.
후라이 – 후라이팬을 해체하여 계란후라이 형태로 재구성한 콜라주 작품
After Rain – 빗방울이 지나간 후 변하는 하늘의 색을 레고로 표현한 작품
M&M – 네모난 쟁반 위에 M&M 초콜릿을 바둑알처럼 배치한 작품
거북 – 자동차 유리를 사용해 빛나는 거북이를 표현한 작품
Moon – 거친 배경 위에 유리 파편으로 달의 섬세한 빛을 표현한 작품
88Egg – 잉크로 계란 형태를 잡고 투명 접착제로 흰자를 표현한 작품
천공의 성 – 구름 위의 도시와 큐피 인형을 배치한 작품
Pink Sky – 분홍빛 하늘에서 구름을 타고 내려오는 큐피 인형을 표현한 작품
수영장 – 쟁반을 수영장으로 재해석한 작품
Shiny One – 빛의 색이 변하는 CD 위에 계란을 배치하여 시각적 대비를 창출한 작품
“루브르 전시, 미술 인생의 터닝포인트”
‘ART SHOPPING PARIS 2025’ 참가를 앞두고 최윤선 작가는 기대와 설렘을 감추지 않았다.
“미술인에게 꿈의 무대인 루브르 박물관에서 전시할 수 있어 큰 영광입니다. 이번 기회를 통해 제 작품이 더욱 많은 사람들에게 다가갈 수 있기를 바랍니다.”
최 작가는 앞으로도 예술적 도전을 멈추지 않을 계획이다. 특히 미디어아트에 대한 관심이 높아지면서, 기존의 작품 세계와 새로운 매체를 융합하는 실험을 계속해 나갈 예정이다.
마지막으로 그는 관객들에게 전하고 싶은 메시지를 남겼다.
“저에게 그림은 내면의 목소리를 담아내는 또 다른 언어입니다. 제 작품을 보시는 분들도 각자의 방식으로 자신을 표현하고, 꿈을 향해 나아가시길 바랍니다. 그리고 무엇보다, 작품을 보며 문득 입가에 번지는 미소가 생겼으면 좋겠습니다.”
최윤선 작가의 작품은 단순함 속에서 깊이 있는 상상력을 이끌어내며, 보는 이들에게 새로운 시각적 경험을 선사한다. ‘ART SHOPPING PARIS 2025’에서 펼쳐질 그의 작품들이 국제 무대에서 어떤 반응을 얻을지 기대된다.

Choi Yoon-sun, a writer who embodies the world of imagination with collage techniques

Artist Choi Yoon-sun is an artist who has been working in art for 20 years. Having dreamed of becoming a painter since childhood, she began learning in earnest when her second child entered kindergarten. Art, which started as a hobby, became the center of his life, and all the experiences he saw, heard, and felt became the source of artistic expression.
Her work focuses on 'realization of imagination through essential simplicity'. Rather than listing complex narratives, focus on one topic and express intuitively using various materials. Through this, it gives the audience freedom of imagination and conveys an in-depth message even in a simple form.
"Looking for inspiration in everyday life"
Choi's creative process comes from everyday life. The most ordinary moment comes as the most special inspiration, and the idea of the next work is naturally formed in the process of making one work. This cyclical creative process becomes the driving force behind the constant evolution of the world of his work.
She mainly uses collage techniques. This is because it is possible to express three-dimensional and lively by combining the textures and colors of different materials rather than drawing them directly. In addition, rather than indiscriminately using various colors, the purity and neatness of the work are maintained by carefully selecting only the minimum colors.
"10 masterpieces reinterpreted with unique perspectives"
Choi Yoon-sun will showcase 10 representative works at the exhibition. His works are characterized by reinterpreting familiar objects with unique perspectives.
Frying – A piece of collage in which the frying pan is dismantled and reconstructed into fried eggs
After Rain – a Lego work of the sky's color that changes after raindrops pass
M&M – A piece of art in which M&M chocolate is placed like a go stone on a square tray
Turtle – a work that uses car glass to express a glowing turtle
Moon – a painting that expresses the moon's delicate light with glass fragments against a rough background
88Egg – a piece of work in which an egg is shaped with ink and white is expressed with transparent glue
Castle of Perforation – A City on Clouds and a painting of a cupid doll
Pink Sky – a painting depicting a cuppy doll climbing down clouds from a pink sky
Swimming Pool – A Reinterpretation of the Tray as a Swimming Pool
Shiny One – works that create visual contrast by placing eggs on light-changing CDs
"Luvre exhibition, turning point of art life"
Ahead of the participation in "ART SHOPPING PARIS 2025", writer Choi Yoon-sun did not hide her expectations and excitement.
"It is a great honor for artists to be able to exhibit at the Louvre Museum, which is the stage of their dreams. I hope this opportunity will help my work reach more people."
Artist Choi plans not to stop artistic challenges in the future. In particular, as interest in media art increases, we plan to continue experimenting with converging the existing world of work with new media.
Finally, he left a message he wanted to convey to the audience.
