강미나 작가, 자연의 소리와 감정을 화폭에 담다: ‘ART SHOPPING PARIS 2025’ 참여

[한국유통신문= 김도형 기자] 2025년 4월 4일부터 6일까지 프랑스 파리의 루브르 박물관 카루젤(CARROUSEL DU LOUVRE)에서 열리는 ‘ART SHOPPING PARIS 2025’ 전시회에 참여하는 강미나 작가와의 인터뷰가 진행됐다. 자연과 감정의 깊이를 작품에 담아내는 강미나 작가는, 자신의 예술 세계를 어떻게 형성해왔는지, 그리고 이번 전시를 통해 무엇을 전하고자 하는지에 대해 이야기했다.

 

어린 시절부터 그림을 그리는 것을 좋아했던 강미나 작가는, 무의식적으로 패션 디자이너가 되고 싶다는 꿈을 품고 있었다. 결혼과 육아를 거친 후, 소소한 취미로 그림을 그리기 시작하며 그리기 자체의 행복을 깨닫게 되었다. "그림을 그리는 행위 자체가 좋고 행복하다는 것을 알게 되었다"고 말하며, 그 후 예술의 길로 본격적으로 발을 내딛게 되었다.

강미나 작가의 작품 세계는 "무질서한 잎사귀 사이에 존재하는 순수한 정령의 존재"를 암시하는 것으로 설명된다. 자연 속에서 찾을 수 있는 혼란과 질서를 작품에 담아내며, 그 안에서 순수한 아름다움과 깊은 감정을 전달하고자 한다.

작품을 만들 때 가장 중요한 영감의 원천은 자연이다. "저녁 산책 중 느낀 풀내음, 주변에서 자주 보이는 나무, 들꽃들의 이름, 그리고 어린 시절의 기억들이 내 작품에 스며든다"고 강미나 작가는 전한다. 그가 자연의 질감과 내면의 감정을 작품에 녹여내는 방식은, 관객이 작품을 통해 자연의 소리를 듣고, 그 속에서 치유를 경험하도록 만든다.

강미나 작가의 대표적인 작품 10점은 모두 자연과 내적 치유의 과정을 그린 작품들이다. "바람의 휴", "치유의 휴", "휴!", "소란스레", "어흥삼촌" 등은 자연의 고요함 속에서 자신을 돌아보는 시간을 제공한다. 작품들은 관객에게 평화와 안정을 느끼게 하며, 치유의 내적 감정을 자아낸다.

 

작품에서 자주 사용되는 기법은 전통적인 붓질을 거부하고, 물감을 여러 번 덧칠하여 두께감과 변화를 강조하는 방식이다. 그 결과, 작품은 다채로운 색상과 이색적인 분위기를 만들어낸다. 또한, 특별한 질감을 표현하기 위해 거칠고 갈라진 붓을 사용하며, 이는 작품에 독특한 생동감을 부여한다.

이번 전시 참여 소감을 묻자, 강미나 작가는 "용기를 내어 참여해보았다"고 답했다. 예술 활동을 계속 이어가며, "끝없이 좋아하는 작업에 도전하고 싶다"는 목표를 가지고 있다. 그는 이번 전시를 통해 더 많은 이들과 자신의 작품을 나누고 싶어 한다.

강미나 작가는 "숲을 이루는 행위의 반복적 과정 속에서 나는 몰입 상태로 빠져들곤 한다"고 말한다. "이 몰입은 나에게 밀도 있는 인정감으로 전환되며, 그 내적 감정이 시각적으로 바라보는 이들에게도 전달되기를 바란다"고 전하며, 작품을 통해 관객과의 깊은 교감을 이루고자 한다.

How I Walked the Way of Art: Make Your Dream Real

Artist Kang Mi-na, who has enjoyed painting since childhood, unconsciously dreamed of becoming a fashion designer. After marriage and parenting, I began to draw as a small hobby and realized the happiness of drawing itself. "I learned that the act of drawing itself was good and happy," she said, and after that, she took a full-fledged step into the art path.

The World of Works: Embracing the existence of a spirit in nature

The world of Kang Mi-na's work is explained as implying "the existence of pure spirits that exist among the disordered leaves." It attempts to convey pure beauty and deep emotions in the work, capturing the confusion and order that can be found in nature.

Source of inspiration: nature and childhood memories

Nature is the most important source of inspiration when making a work. "The smell of grass I felt during an evening walk, the trees I often see around me, the names of wild flowers, and my childhood memories permeate my work," says Kang Mi-na. The way he melts nature's texture and inner emotions into his work makes the audience hear nature's sounds through his work and experience healing in it.

Representative Works: A Message of Healing and Peace

All 10 of Kang Mi-na's representative works are about nature and the process of inner healing. "Hu of Wind," "Hu of Healing," "Hu!" "Soran-Soran," and "Uncle Eoheung" provide a time to reflect on yourself in the stillness of nature. The works make the audience feel peace and stability, and create an inner feeling of healing.

Techniques and Colors: Embracing Unique Textures and Changes

A technique often used in a painting is one that rejects traditional brush strokes and applies paint many times to emphasize the thickness and change. As a result, the painting creates a variety of colors and exotic atmospheres. In addition, rough and cracked brushes are used to express special textures, giving the painting a unique sense of life.

How do you feel about participating in the exhibition: Take courage to participate

When asked about her feelings about participating in this exhibition, Kang Mi-na replied, "I took courage to participate." She aims to continue her artistic activities and "challenge on her favorite work endlessly." She wants to share her work with more people through this exhibition.

Message you want to convey to the audience: the transmission of inner emotions

"In the repetitive process of the act of forming a forest, I often fall into a state of immersion," says artist Kang Mi-na. "This immersion turns into a dense sense of recognition for me, and I hope that the inner emotion will also be transmitted to those who see it visually," she says, trying to achieve a deep connection with the audience through her work.
