-금오산 바람과 낙동강의 물 그리고 벼의 일생-

며칠간 비가 내리고 서늘하더니
하늘이 모내기에도 도움을 주려 했던 모양입니다.
벼의 삶은 햇볕을 받으며 여름을 살다 천천히 고개를 익어갑니다.
금오산 바람과 낙동강 물로 농사를 지으며 조상들은 수천 년간 구미를 지켜왔습니다.
모내기 철을 맞으며 끊이지 않고 벼를 키우며 이 땅을 지켜오신 선조들의 인내를 함께 생각합니다.

 It rained for a few days and it was cool
 It seems that the sky was trying to help with rice planting.

 Rice boils in the sun and slowly ripens during the summer.

 Farming with the wind of Mt. Geumo and the water of the Nakdong River, our ancestors have protected Europe and America for thousands of years.

 We consider the patience of our ancestors who kept the land by constantly growing rice during the rice planting season.

평론: 김석호 글쓴이의 글은 벼와 우리네 역사에 대한 많은 상상을 떠오르게 만든다. 낙동강 물줄기는 수쳔년 동안 조상대대로 삶을 터전을 이루고 농경문화를 이루게 만든 생명의 원천수다.

구미를 관통하는 낙동강은 한민족 5천년 역사의 젖줄이자 문화의 원류로서 비옥한 토양에서 자란 벼와 각종 곡식들로 사람들의 생계 터전을 이뤄왔다.

우리 한국인은 밥심으로 산다는 말이 있듯이 쌀은 우리 민족의 자존심이다.

1990년대 들어 울산 옥현 유적지에서 청동기 시대 논이 발견되고 이후 다수의 유적이 나타나면서 오랫 옛적부터 농사가 시작되었다는 설이 힘을 얻고 있다.

벼에 대한 역사를 들여다 보면 우리네 삶 그 자체인 것을 알고 있고, 인간이 먹고 살기 위해 없어서는 안될 가장 소중한 생명 유지의 근원이라는 것을 알 수있다.

또한 글은 우리 선조들 한여름 뙤약볕에 낙동강 옆 광활한 논의 잡초를 뜯고 땀을 흘리며 일할 때 인근 금오산에서 불어오는 시원한 바람을 느끼게 만든다.     

우리 선조들은 벼를 수확하여 가족들의 생계를 유지하고 지역간의 교류도 발생시키는 원동력이 되는데 쌀을 활용해왔다. 글은 풍년이 들어 곳간에 곡식을 차곡차곡 쌓아 흉년이 들때를 대비해 인내심을 갖고 아껴 사용한 유비무환의 정신 또한 우리 민족의 슬기로운 지혜라는 사실을 떠올리게 만든다.

Criticism: Writer Kim Seok-ho's writing reminds me of rice and many imaginations about our history. The Nakdonggang River Stream has been the source of life that has led to the establishment of agricultural culture for generations.

The Nakdonggang River, which runs through Gumi, has been a source of culture and a lifeline for the 5,000-year history of the Korean people, and has been a source of people's livelihood with rice and various grains grown in fertile soil.

As it is said that Koreans live with rice, rice is the pride of our people.

In the 1990s, rice paddies from the Bronze Age were discovered at the site of Okhyeon in Ulsan, and many remains have emerged since then, gaining strength from the theory that farming has long started.

If you look at the history of rice, you can see that it is our life itself and that it is the most precious source of life support that humans are indispensable to make ends meet.

In addition, writing makes our ancestors feel the cool breeze from nearby Geumosan Mountain when they work in the middle of summer, tearing weeds from the vast rice fields next to the Nakdong River.

Our ancestors have used rice as a driving force to harvest rice to help families make ends meet and to create exchanges between regions. The writing reminds us of the fact that the spirit of Yoo Bi-hwan, who used it patiently in case of a bad harvest, is also the wise wisdom of the Korean people.
