재뉴한인회총연합회 동포 역사상 최초, 지역 한인회가 하나가 되어 개최

(뉴질랜드= KTN) 박춘태 기자= 재뉴한인회총연합회(회장 홍승필)가 주최하는 ‘한식 요리 경연대회’가 처음으로 뉴질랜드에서 열린다. 

행사는 6월 29일(토) 오후 2시부터 열리는데, 뉴질랜드에서 가장 큰 도시이며 한인들이 가장 많이 거주하는 북섬 오클랜드시의 ‘오클랜드 한인회관’에서 한다.   

참가 자격은 뉴질랜드에 거주하는 자로 나이, 성별, 국적에 상관없이 누구나 참가할 수 있다. 

참가 신청은 6월 20일(목)까지 이며, 지역별 한인회에서 접수한다.  도시별 2개 팀이 참가 가능하고, 요리는 두 가지까지 신청할 수 있다.  

1등상 수상자에게는 대한항공에서 제공하는 한국 왕복 항공권이 제공되고 2등과 3등에는 최신 LG 노트북과 삼성 스마트폰이, 특별상 2팀과 인기상 2팀에는 각각 500 뉴질랜드 달러와 300 뉴질랜드 달러의 상금이 수여된다.  

이번 행사의 후원은 한국 정부의 재외동포청을 비롯하여 뉴질랜드 주재 한국대사관, 대한항공과 LG전자, 남섬 크라이스트처치의 이마트 등에서 한다. 

이번 행사의 의의는 한류 열풍에 힘입어 한식의 아름다움과 맛을 뉴질랜드 동포는 물론, 뉴질랜드  현지인에게 전하는 뜻깊은 기회일 뿐만 아니라 동포 역사상 처음으로 지역 한인회가 하나가 되어 개최하는 뜻깊은 행사라고 주최측은 밝혔다.

First-place winner Korean Air offers round-trip tickets to Korea

(New Zealand = KTN) Reporter Park Chun-tae = The 'Korean Food Cooking Contest' hosted by the New Korean Association (Chairman Hong Seung-pil) will be held in New Zealand for the first time.

The event will be held from 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 29 at the Auckland Korean Center in Auckland, New Zealand's largest city and home to the largest number of Koreans.

Anyone living in New Zealand is eligible to participate regardless of age, gender, or nationality.

Applications for participation are open until June 20 (Thursday), and applications are accepted by local Korean associations. Two teams per city can participate, and up to two dishes can be applied.

The first prize winner will be offered a round-trip ticket to Korea provided by Korean Air, the second and third prize winners will receive the latest LG laptops and Samsung smartphones, and the two special prize and popularity prize winners will receive 500 New Zealand dollars and 300 New Zealand dollars, respectively.

The event will be sponsored by the Korean government's Overseas Korean Office, the Korean Embassy in New Zealand, Korean Air and LG Electronics, and E-Mart in Christchurch, South Island.

The significance of this event is not only a meaningful opportunity to convey the beauty and taste of Korean food to New Zealanders as well as locals thanks to the Korean Wave, but also a meaningful event held by a local Korean community for the first time in Korean history, organizers said.
