퇴계 종가에서 성장한 이점숙 여사는 1966년에 학봉가 15대 종부가 됐다.

이점숙 여사는 종부의 삶에 대해 "욕망을 체념해야 마음이 편해진다."라고 했다.

반천년의 전통을 가진 학봉종가에 대해 이점숙 여사는 "학봉 종택을 한번도 내 소유라고 생각해 본 적이 없다"라는 말을 남겼다.

또한 이점숙 여사는 "지금 우리들이 하는 모든 것을 젊은 종부에게 강요하는 것은 무리일 것"이라고 했다.
