The anti-communist movie "General Doli," which I watched when I was young, came to mind vividly. The monster depicted as a red pig and General Doli who embodied justice by punishing him. The children grew exhilaration and relief. The world was simple. Good and evil, justice and injustice, and their boundaries were all too clear.

But over time, I realized. The world is not that simple. The line between good and evil is sometimes ambiguous, and sometimes we have to keep that line ourselves. However, the situation in Korea now strangely overlaps with the simple movie narrative.

People in the square divided by pros and cons of impeaching the mob of civil war. The dichotomy between the South and the North may be a deep wound in the ground. Amid the fierce confrontation between pros and cons, memories of the past come to mind in pieces.

However, this rebellion monster is different from the red pig in the past. He was even more vicious. He wielded public power for his own safety, threatened the people, and shook the foundation of the country. It wasn't just the economic or military power of the country that he put in danger. Even the people's faith and the trust of the community were shaken.

Punishment was the beginning. It was the first step in which justice stood upright. The starting point for the Republic of Korea to be reborn is now. We must overcome the wounds of the past and witness the moment when justice is restored.

General Ttoli in the movie was a fiction, but now we have to make that justice in reality. It's not just about killing a monster, it's about reflecting on the values that the Republic of Korea should keep in the process and recovering the lost faith. That's the way we have to go.

It's time to move on from the red pig. The history of a new Republic of Korea begins now.
