ODVA, Industry Automation, and New Steps to Network Standards
[Korea Distribution Newspaper = Reporter Kim Do-hyung] On Mar. 20, the Open Device Net Vendor Association (ODVA) announced at the 23rd annual meeting of its members in Clearwater, Florida, the U.S., that it has completed the selection of its 24th executive branch. This election is expected to serve as an important stepping stone to further strengthen ODVA's future vision and technological innovation.
ODVA launched a strategic initiative to achieve technological innovation and improved operational excellence. This effort aims to prepare for future challenges through a comprehensive review process initiated by the ODVA board. The ODVA board is made up of senior executives from industrial automation device and system providers, and the selection of executives marks an important turning point for ODVA to take the highest level of responsibility in technology and governance.

ODVA Technical Review Committee and Market Advisory Committee
ODVA's Technical Review Committee approves technical improvements included in ODVA specifications such as CIP (Common Industrial Protocol), EtherNet/IP, and DeviceNet and oversees the development of technologies and standards. Experts from major companies such as Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Danforth, and Endreshauser are participating in the members of the 24th Technical Review Committee.
ODVA's Market Advisory Committee evaluates global and regional adoption and use cases, and discusses the present and future of ODVA technology. Executives of major companies such as Lockwell Automation, Honeywell, and HMS Networks will represent the 24th Market Advisory Committee.
