삼성이라는 초일류 거대 권력에 맞서 재판부는 약소하나마 구속판결을 내렸다.

재계와 학계 그리고 전경련 등은 글로벌 기업의 총수 구속으로 한국경제에 악영향을 끼칠 것으로 우려했으나, 삼성전자 주가는 하루만에 반등했다.

글로벌 기업은 시스템으로 움직이고 오너의 부재로 인한 영향은 미미하다.

삼성의 거대 자본이 정계와 재계에 미치는 영향은 실로 막강하며 수많은 엘리트 인간들의 영혼조차도 잠식하고 있어, 현대사회는 영혼없는 자본이라는 권력에 대항할 수 있는 강력한 시스템 체계를 갖춰야 할 시대적 당면과제에 봉착했다.

시대는 변했으나 권력의 속성은 크게 변하지 않았다. 눈에 보이지 않는 무소불위의 권력에 조아리는 사람들이 무수히 많은 세상이다.

다음은 지난 세월 권력에 맞선 사람의 이야기다.

조선건국 이래로 600년 동안 우리는 권력에 맞서서 권력을 한번도 바꿔보지 못했다.

비록 그것이 정의라할지라도, 비록 그것이 진리라 할지라도 권력이 싫어하는 말을 했던 사람은 , 또는 진리를 내세워서 권력에 저항했던 사람은 죽임을 당했다. 그 자손들까지 멸문지화를 당했다. 패가망신했다.

600년동안 한국에서 부귀영화를 누리고자 하는 사람은 모두 권력에 줄을 서서 손바닥을 비비고 머리를 조아려야 했다. 그저 밥이나 먹고 살고 싶으면, 세상에서 어떤 부정이 저질러져도 어떤 불의가 눈앞에서 벌이지고 있어도,

강자가 부당하게 약자를 짓밟고 있어도 모른척하고 고객숙이고 외면했어야 했다.

눈감고 귀를 막고 비굴한 삶을 사는 사람만이 목숨을 부지하면서 밥이라도 먹고살 수 있었던 우리 600년의 역사.

저의 어머니가 저에게 남겨줬던 저의 가훈은 "야 이놈아! 모난 돌이 정맞는다. 계란으로 바위치기다. 바람부는데로 물결치는대로 눈치보면서 살아라!"

80년대 시위하다가 감옥간 우리의 정의롭고 혈기넘치는 우리 젊은 아이들에게 그 어머니들이 간곡히 간곡히 타일렀던 그들의 가훈 역시 "야 이놈아! 계란으로 바위치기다. 고만둬라! 너는 뒤로 빠져라!"  이 비겁한 역사를 가르쳐야했던 우리의 역사, 이 역사를 청산해야 한다!

권력에 맞서서 당당하게 권력을 한 번 쟁취하는 우리의 역사가 이루어져야만이 이제 비로서 우리의 젊은이들이 떳떳하게 정의를 얘기할 수 있고 떳떳하게 불의에 맞설 수 있는 새로운 역사를 만들어 낼 수 있다!
