The running monk Jinos ran from Busan to Seoul to save the disappearing book ecosystem.

The changes of the times shook the foundation of local bookstores. The benefits of books are indescribable, but in this era represented by smartphones, bookstores do not even allow them to read books.

Jinos once again announced the value of bookstore culture and feared that the crisis of local bookstores would lead to a reduction in the area of mental culture at a time when books, which used to be a means of acquiring knowledge and information, are becoming relics of the old era.

달리는 스님 진오스님이 사라져가는 책 생태계를 살리기 위해 부산에서 서울까지 달렸다. 

시대의 변화는 동네 책방의  기초를 뿌리채 뒤흔들었다. 책을 통해 얻는 유익함은 이루 말할 수 없으나, 스마트폰으로 대변되는 이 시대는 서점에서 책 읽을 여유조차 허락하지 않는다.

지식과 정보 습득의 수단이었던 책이 스마트폰과 전자책에 밀려 구시대의 유물로 전락하고 있는 현실에서 서점문화의 가치를 진오스님이 다시 한 번 알리며, 동네 책방의 위기는 정신문화 영역의 축소로 이어지는 것을 우려했다.

우리는 한 사람의 행동이 밀알이 되어 세상의 변화를 일으키는 사례를 많이 봐왔다. 책 생태계 살리기의 의미는 한 국가가 가진 정신문화의 가치를 더욱 높여주는 일이기도 하다.
